Privacy Policy
Peakness · Last updated: August 20, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Peakness ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application ("App").
1. Information We Collect
We collect the minimum information necessary to provide the service:
- Email address — used to create and authenticate your account, and to send you essential service messages such as a reminder shortly before a free trial ends and starts billing. These are not marketing emails and are sent only when there is something you need to know.
- Workout and fitness data — workout plans, session logs, training preferences, and goals that you enter or generate within the App. This data is stored to personalise your experience and track your progress over time.
- Body weight logs — optional entries you make within the App.
- Health-related details you choose to give us — injuries or physical limitations, body weight, height, date of birth, and optionally your gender. These are used only to make your workouts safe and appropriate for you. All of them are optional and you can change or remove them at any time in Training Preferences.
- Menstrual cycle information, only if you switch on the optional cycle-aware coaching feature and give separate explicit consent. This is health data and is stored only on your device — we never receive it. See Section 4.
- A display name, if you give us one, so the App can address you.
- App engagement — the date you last viewed a generated workout. This is recorded at most once per day, holds only the single most recent date with no history, and is used solely to decide whether to keep preparing workouts ahead of time for you. You can switch that off in Settings.
- Diagnostics and product analytics — crash reports and anonymous usage events, so we can find and fix problems.
- Marketing consent — if you opt in, we record that choice and when you made it, so we can demonstrate it was given. It is off by default.
We do not collect your phone number, location, or payment information. We do not use advertising SDKs and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and maintain your account.
- To generate and store personalised workout plans based on your preferences.
- To display your training history and progress within the App.
- To send essential service messages about your subscription, such as a reminder before a free trial converts to a paid one.
- To improve the App's functionality.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a hosted database platform with encryption at rest and in transit. Access is authenticated and restricted to your account only.
While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no system is completely secure. You use the App at your own risk.
4. Cycle-Aware Coaching (Optional, Off by Default)
The App offers an optional feature that adapts your training to your own menstrual cycle. It is off unless you deliberately turn it on, and turning it on requires a separate, explicit consent step — it is never part of accepting these terms or any other setting.
Information about your menstrual cycle is health data and is treated as a special category under Article 9 of the UK/EU GDPR. We handle it differently from everything else described in this policy:
- It stays on your device. The date your last period started, your typical cycle length, your life stage (for example whether you are pregnant, postpartum or in menopause), and whether you use hormonal contraception are stored only in your phone’s secure storage. We do not upload them. They are not in our database, and we cannot see them.
- What leaves your device is a training instruction, not your data. Your phone works out on its own whether to adjust a session, and sends only a short instruction such as “lower energy today — reduce volume”. That instruction contains no dates, no cycle information and no life stage. It is indistinguishable from one prompted by a poor night’s sleep.
- It is never used for analytics or advertising. Our product analytics record that a screen was reached, never what you answered on it.
- You can switch it off or erase it at any time, in Training Preferences. Erasing deletes the cycle information and the record of your consent from your device immediately, and switches the feature off. This is independent of deleting your account.
- Daily check-ins (a quick rating of energy, sleep and muscle soreness) are offered to everyone, not only to people using this feature, and are likewise stored on your device only.
Because we hold none of this information ourselves, we cannot export or delete it on your behalf — the controls in the App are the way to do that, and they act immediately.
The App is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or contraceptive or fertility guidance. If you are pregnant, postpartum, or have any medical condition, speak to a healthcare professional before starting or changing how you train.
5. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party service providers:
- Supabase — authentication and database storage (Privacy Policy).
- AI model providers — workout generation. Your training preferences and workout context are sent to these providers to write your plan; your email address and account identity are not. We use more than one provider and may change between them to keep the service fast and reliable. They act on our instructions only, and their terms do not permit your data to be used to train their models.
- RevenueCat — management of subscriptions purchased through the App Store or Google Play.
- Sentry — crash and error reporting, so we can diagnose faults.
- PostHog — product analytics (which screens are used and where people get stuck), hosted in the EU. Used to improve the App, never for advertising.
- An email delivery provider — to send the essential service messages described in Section 1. It receives your email address and the message; it receives none of your workout, health or body data.
These providers process data only as necessary to deliver the service and are bound by their own privacy policies. A current list naming each specific provider is available on request at the address in Section 9.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the App, under Settings → Privacy; this takes effect immediately. You may also request deletion by contacting us (see Section 9), which we action within 30 days.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
